Do you know that the warm water flushed down to your city's sewage system can become a huge source of energy. I am serious. Heat of wastawater is already being put to use in a handful of buildings in British Colombia . There is a company  called International Wastewater Systems hopes to turn that a formidable business. According to the today's Globe&Mail post. That kind of energy recycling method can be used in densely packed cities that geothermal power is impractical. I hope City of Edmonton consider that issue to reduce cost of energy for all kind of  services that provides to the Edmontonians. 

The Quantum Guide to Life

I want to share my view about a book called " The Quantum Guide to Life " written by Kunal Das. Nowadays spiritual approach to self help books are very popular . I really like to read  about every kind of self help books. But sometimes as a reader I barely persuaded by the technics mentioned on that kind of books. The most important point is  proof. I need proof to be convinced . That can be true life stories or view of the people tried technics . Anyway this book is totally has scientific approach :) I like it.. The writer claimed that laws of science affect our daily life whether we realize or not.  Connection between physic laws and life are amazing . If you read this book you will join physicist Kunal K. Das on his surprising and enlightening adventure . You will find fresh view perspective on the human experience. And when you have learned about laziness factor your life will never be same again. I totally advise you to read that book.

Yunus Emre is His Name

I want to share with you, one of the humanist and sufi like Rumi from my home country, Turkey.  His name is Yunus Emre.  He was a Turkish poet and sufi mystic.  He has excercised immense influence on Turkish literature, from his own time till the present.  He remains a popular figure in a number of countries , streching from Azerbaijan to the Balkans, with seven different widely dispersed locations disputing the privilege of having his tomb within their boundaries.

His poems, written in the tradition of Anatolian folk poetry, mainly concern divine love as well as human destiny.  Below I have translated one of his poems from turkish to English. 

Yunus durur benim adım
Gün geçtikçe artar odum
İki cihanda maksûdum
Bana seni gerek seni.

Yunus Emre the mystic is my name,
Each passing day fans and rouses my flame,
What I desire in both worlds is the same:
You're the one I need, you're the one I crave.

The Threat We Breath : Formaldehyde

Our health affected by indoor air pollutants without realizing them. So I want to share something about air we breathe at home, office, mall or any other places.  One of them is formaldehyde which is an important chemical to used to make our building materials , household product and consumer goods.  For example formaldehyde is used in the manufacture of ceiling and floor tiles. Wallpapers include formaldehyde too. Other materials whit formaldehyde include; fiberglass insulation, shelves, cabinets, furniture, plywood wall panels. Medium density fiberboard used in drawers, cabinets and furniture. There are some consumer goods which cause indoor formaldehyde release. Fabric labeled as " permanent press", "wash and wear", "no iron", "durable press" are the most frequently  inhaled formaldehyde sources.

You may ask "How hazardous is formaldehyde?" 
Here is my answer; Formaldehyde has been recognized nasal carcinogen ( substance which makes people cancer) . Also EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency), the USA's regulatory body about environment, and OSHA ( Ocuupational Safety and Health Administration) classified formaldehyde as " a potential occupational carcinogen" 

Tips to  reduce formeldehyde levels within the homes are as given below:

• Increase ventilation by opening doors and windows.
• Keep the humidy level low
• Use a low -VOC sealer
• Select sealing material that does not itself contain formaldehyde
• Remove items from your home
• Replace wooden furniture withe metal furniture plastic items with glass and treated fabrics wtih untreated ones. 
• Consider adding small living plants which are known to lower formaldehyde levels in the air.

UEFA Champions League second tour  matches has been announced.  Galatasaray’ has matched with Chelsea  which is one of the team of England Premier League .

Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup in 2000 and last year Gala was eliminated in the last  eight of the same tournament by Real Madrid soccer team. The coach of Real Madrid  was Jose Morinho  last year, and the irony is that  he is also now the coach of Chelsea soccer team. Plus  Drogba who is known as "Legend"  by  Chelsea's fans  was a player of Chelsea , but now  he will play with Galatasaray against  Chelsea.  I do believe  there will be  an upset in the making in this matchup, as Galatasaray, in my opinion will succeed to eliminate Chelsea.

Here is the person who inspires me most. His  name is Jalal-ad- Din Muhammed Balkhi, and more populary in English speaking world simply as Rumi. Iranians, Turks, Arghans, Tajiks and Asian muslims have greatly appreciated his spiritual legacy in past seven centruies.  His poems and stories transcend national and ethnic boards. He is a theologist and sufi Anatolian mystic who advise to be good to every creature.

WXN, is Canada’s leading organization dedicated to advancement  and recognition of  woman in management executive and board roles.
